Becoming a member of the Centreville Volunteer Fire
Department

The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department is a "combined
system". All of the County's 35 Fire Stations are staffed around
the clock by approximately 1100 career personnel who are
supplemented by more than 500 operational and administrative
volunteers. The Centreville Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) is
one of twelve private, non-profit fire companies working, in
partnership with Fairfax County, to provide emergency and
non-emergency services to protect lives, property, and the
environment.

After reviewing the steps on the left, you're probably thinking
something like "wow, this takes a lot of time". Well, you're
right. It not only takes time; it also takes commitment and
dedication. But if you ask any of our members they will tell you
how well their time is spent and how personally rewarding their
effort and dedication is. As a locally-based emergency services
organization we take great pride in knowing that we are part of
the team that helps ensure a safe and secure community here
in Centreville and across Fairfax County. Come join us!
