Operational Members, together with colleagues from the
Fairfax County career staff, provide fire suppression and
emergency medical services to the community. Our highly
trained Firefighter/EMT and EMS-only members are dedicated
to providing the highest level of emergency services to our
citizens. If you join as an operational member all the required
training, uniforms and equipment are provided at no cost to
you. Additionally, a complete (initial and annual) physical exam
is provided to ensure you are in good health. Please note that
as someone charged with the public trust you will also be
subject to a thorough background check prior to being admitted
to membership.
Operational Members
